Where to Begin....
There are many airplane kits on the market to choose from, but finding the right one for your particular interest can be time consuming and frustrating. In the 35 years that I have been in the hobby I have seen companies come and go and their product lines dry up and become unavailable. The companies listed here have been around for a long time, make excellent products and offer prompt service. Although, not many companies offer plane kits for CL they do make RC kits that are easily converted to CL. I highly recommend these companies and their products. I have not been able to find a web link to Royal, but, you can check with your local hobby shop for their kits. Just click on the LOGO of the company you want to check out...and I will fly you there.
Airplane Kits
Top-Flite also has Scale Pilots, Cockpits, Fuel Tanks, Bombs, etc. scaled for their airplanes, so do some of the other mafg's. Williams Brothers has scale engine cylinders and pilots. Shop around a little and you can find all of the extras to really dress up your model.

Engines
There are many engines that provide reliable use and ample power for demanding performance needed by scale pilots. The two that I recommend are.......
Retract Gears
For Scale Wheels and Tires, Struts, Retracts, etc. Robart
has a wide variety of scale operating systems, both Mechanical and Pneumatic. Bob
Violett's retracts are awesome and perfect for Gold Edition P-51s and are also available
as Mechanical.
Hobico also has Scale Struts in assorted sizes.
